The university's two campuses are host to many facilities including a herbarium, museum, and various sport facilities.

The SANT Herbarium is an important botanical research centre presently involved in recording and studying Galician regional flora. It is part of the Flora Iberica programme, which is a project that seeks to catalog and study indigenous Spanish plant life. It regularly holds lectures amidst the lush greenery of the herbarium.

The Luis Iglesias Museum of Natural History is a scientific museum containing collections of geological, archaeological, botanical, and zoological importance. It is open to the public on most days of the week. The entrance is free of charge.

The sporting facilities in the Santiago campus include an Olympic-sized pool, a weight-training gym, a field hockey pitch, a football pitch, and a basketball court. The Lugo campus has an athletics track, several tennis courts, and the As Gandaras football pitch.
